Benni Bosetto
Benni Bosetto was born in Merate, Italy (1987), and she lives and works in Milan, Italy.
The artist studied at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and at the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam.
Benni Bosetto produces wall paintings and drawings, performances, sculptures and installations in which the body is deconstructed and reimagined. The corporeality she represents is in constant evolution, it dissolves becoming part of other species, other genera and other temples that are held and reconnected in an eternal tale.
Reality breaks into an infinite reverberation of mirroring fragments, in an assembly made up of multiplicity, to reaffirm that the human being is first and foremost compost, being-with-others.
Throughout her practice, the artist maintains a sensual and therapeutic approach, almost holistic, that envelopes viewers in an intimate trance-state, where time feels suspended. Objectivity and monolithic explanations are abandoned in favour of a fragmented conception of reality, the space of possibility.
